Santa Chiara vestita dall'abitudine francescana, con un volto sereno, segno di pace, contemplazione e preghiera. Santa Chiara d'Assisi fu il fondatore dell'ordine religioso monastico chiamato le Povere, seguace della tradizione francescana. La sua Regola di Vita fu la prima guida per la vita monastica scritta da una donna. Dopo la sua morte, papa Urbano IV cambiò ufficialmente il nome dell'Ordine delle Povere all'Ordine di Santa Chiara, nel 1263. La statua si trova sul lato sud della facciata, di fronte a Santa Elisabetta d'Ungheria.
