Dopo la soppressione della chiesa , la foto è stata scattata in francia e tagliata in due . entrambi i pezzi furono acquistati dalla famiglia chiesa per la brera , il dipinto è stato riportato alla sua forma originale in 1950 . In questo grande dipinto , tiepolo si confronta con lo stile di piazzetta , e allo stesso tempo tornò agli elementi dei grandi modelli veneziani del cinquecento , ad esempio Veronese's pala di san zaccaria .
