Questi due grandi pannelli di legno hanno un formato insolito. Le figure sono presentate in pannelli separati contro uno sfondo nero neutro, in contrasto con il suo taglio di legno datato 1509 che mostra la scena in un paesaggio. Essi sono collegati dall'Albero della Conoscenza che è posto nell'asse centrale e diviso tra i due pannelli. La composizione mostra paralleli suggestivi con la famosa pittura di Dürer del 1507 a Madrid.
