Helmer Osslund è famoso per i suoi paesaggi autunnali del nord svedese. Nel 1910, dipinse questa vista del fiume Ångermanälven da Storberget a Nordingrå. Ha vinto una medaglia d'oro alla Fiera Mondiale di San Francisco nel 1915. Successivamente, Osslund dipinse nuovamente la stessa vista in un totale di cinque versioni, con diverse aggiunte e colori e caratteristiche diverse.
