Centrale su questo dipinto è una nave a tre dimensioni con almeno 36 pistole. Molti uomini stanno lavorando sul ponte: anche nel rigging dove le vele sono reefed. In primo piano due pescatori si trovano in uno sloop. L'uomo in fila posteriore la barca mentre l'uomo in avanti getta (o rulli in) la rete. L'acqua è il cosiddetto Drierivierenpunt vicino a Dordrecht, Zwijndrecht e Papendrecht dove convergono i Beneden-Merwede, i Noord Maas e gli Oude Maas.
