La serie KatzenelnbogenPer la biografia di Jan the Younger vedere l'ingresso sul suo ritratto nella Leeuwarden Series (SK-A-534). Il presente lavoro è molto vicino al 1611 Ritratto di Jan the Younger di Van Ravesteyn nella raccolta dei Mauritshuis.9 A differenza di quel ritratto, tuttavia, il colletto presente è rifilato con pizzo, suggerendo che un altro, ritratto perso servito come prototipo.
