I dipinti ancora-vita di vasi antichi con piante da fiore e frutti sono emersi come una forma d'arte coreana distinto (gimyeong jeoljido) nel XIX secolo. I bronzi raffigurati su questo schermo sono versioni stilizzate ed esagerate del periodo tardo Qing (1644-1911) Esempi cinesi. I vasi erano conosciuti in Corea attraverso collezionisti importati e la loro rappresentazione in dipinti, stampe e litografie cinesi. L'opera è un raro esempio di pittura a vita immobile del XX secolo nel formato dello schermo. Il pannello più sinistro porta la firma e il sigillo di Jang Seungeop, l'artista di corte leader del tempo. Studenti e altri firmati per il maestro analfabeto, e alcune opere attribuite a Jang possono essere collaborazioni o dai suoi seguaci immediati.
