Questo cappello con corona aderente ha una brim asimmetrica, o il cosiddetto lato del paradiso, il cui lato inferiore è coperto con satin di seta nera lucido. L'esterno del cappello è fatto interamente di stretti fili di paglia che sono stati cuciti insieme. Sulla salamoia tirato giù mostra un ornamento parzialmente conservato — una pietra di vetro sfaccettata rotonda su una rosetta nastro pieghettato.
