Una figura molto decorativa di donna nera con un cesto è stato creato nel più antico laboratorio europeo di porcellana a Meissen, vicino a Dresda. Questa complessa composizione, utilizzando una tecnica di porcellana difficile, è stata effettuata con una vera e propria artista, creando la figurina di una donna dall'Africa allora molto esotica. La figurina appartiene alle sculture del XVIII secolo molto alla moda in porcellana, che ha arricchito l'allestimento della tavola.
