Donna con un Luto, conosciuta anche come Donna con un Lute Near a Window, è un dipinto creato circa 1662–1663 dal pittore olandese Johannes Vermeer e ora al Metropolitan Museum of Art di New York. Il dipinto raffigura una giovane donna che indossa una giacca ermene-trimmed e enormi orecchini di perle mentre guarda con ansia fuori una finestra, presumibilmente aspettando un visitatore maschio. "Un corteggiamento musicale è suggerito dalla viola da gamba sul pavimento in primo piano e dal flusso di libri di canzoni sul tavolo e sul pavimento", secondo una pagina web sull'opera al Metropolitan Museum of Art sito web. La messa a punto di un luto è stata riconosciuta dagli spettatori contemporanei come simbolo della virtù della temperanza. L'olio su tela è 20 1/4 pollici in altezza e 18 pollici in larghezza (51.4 x 45.7 cm).
