Copia del ritratto di Martínez Montañés di Diego Velázquez. Mostra un vecchio in abiti scuri del XVII secolo con uno strumento di modellazione in mano, davanti a una testa di argilla di Filippo IV. Juan Cabré lo dipinse come pezzo di pratica quando era uno studente presso la San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando) a Madrid tra il 1900 e il 1908, con una borsa di studio dal governo provinciale di Teruel.
