Le donne del villaggio di Bronowice Małe vicino a Cracovia, raffigurate qui con le spalle alla telecamera, camminando lungo un sentiero allineato con alberi e arbusti, tra i campi. Indossano gonne e grembiuli dai colori chiari, scialle avvolgenti calde sulle spalle e sui fazzoletti sulla testa. Stanno andando a Cracovia, al mercato a Kleparz o forse, presso la piazza del mercato principale. Forniti in questo modo erano principalmente prodotti caseari come formaggi, latte, burro, crema e uova, così come prodotti da forno, funghi di foresta, pollame, ecc. Karol (o Karel) Chotek, l'etnografo ceco che prese la fotografia durante il suo tempo a Cracovia nel 1912, probabilmente intendeva documentare come i contadini polacchi Minori trasportavano i loro prodotti.
