Creato dal produttore francese di mobili Martin Carlin, questo piccolo tavolo meccanico con Sèvres Porcelain Plaques è stato progettato per l'uso nell'appartamento privato di una signora alla moda. Esso illustra il fascino francese con dispositivi meccanici durante la seconda metà del XVIII secolo. I supporti in ottone nascosti all'interno della porzione superiore di ciascuna delle gambe permettono di sollevare il piano da tavolo ulteriori quindici pollici.
