La locomotiva è stata acquisita nel 1907 dal Companhia Nacional per rafforzare il set esistente, dopo l'estensione della Tua line a Bragança. Ha integrato una serie di 4 unità, numerate da CN7 a CN10, che sono arrivate in lotti di due unità in date diverse, nel 1904 e nel 1907. Simile l'uno all'altro, le ultime macchine della serie sono leggermente più grandi e più pesanti, ma con lo sforzo di trazione uguale. Oltre alla numerazione, sono stati dati nomi associati alla storia e alla geografia del territorio in cui dovevano operare. Questa locomotiva rimase nella Tua fino all'affitto delle linee Corgo e Sabor al Companhia dos Caminhos de Ferro Portogheses (CP), quando furono nuovamente numerati e questo viene trasferito alla linea Sabor, ricevendo il nome di "Sabor".
