Jose Galvez Barrenechea (Tarma, 1885-Lima, 1957) è stato un poeta, scrittore e politico peruviano, che apparteneva a un gruppo di intellettuali noti come la Generazione del 900. Ha fondato la National Association of Writers and Artists, ed è stato membro dell'Accademia peruviana di lingua e dell'Istituto storico del Perù. Fu anche membro fondatore del gruppo politico del Fronte Democratico Nazionale. Ha ricoperto varie posizioni accademiche e politiche.
