Michelangelo raffigura la scena in molteplici aspetti in uno dei Pendentivi, o quattro mandrie sul soffitto della Cappella Sistina. Il soffitto della Cappella Sistina, dipinto da Michelangelo tra il 1508 e il 1512, è una delle opere più rinomate dell'Alto Rinascimento.
