Il Giudizio Universale è un affresco di Michelangelo sulla parete dell'altare della Cappella Sistina nella Città del Vaticano. Ci sono voluti quattro anni per completare ed è stato eseguito dal 1537 al 1541. Michelangelo iniziò a lavorarci tre decenni dopo aver terminato il soffitto della Cappella Sistina. L'opera è massiccia e abbraccia tutto il muro dietro l'altare della Cappella Sistina. È una rappresentazione della seconda venuta di Cristo e dell'apocalisse. Le anime degli esseri umani si innalzano e scendono al loro destino, come giudicato da Cristo circondato dai suoi santi.
