Laureato in architettura e arte ambientale presso l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Guangzhou, l'artigiano cinese Zhilong Zheng ha collezionato e testato nuovi usi per legno disuso fin dai suoi giorni di college. Le sue creazioni organiche contrastano con l’ambiente industriale cinese. Questo pezzo unico di arredamento ritrae la forza schiacciante degli elementi per riassimilare i materiali naturali nel paesaggio. Dopo aver osservato come il sole e il vento avessero restituito il legname scartato di case demolite alla sua forma naturale, Zheng creò una serie di sedie che sembrano emergere dalla terra. Creando un condotto tra la natura e l'ambiente nutrito, ogni pezzo risuona con una dolce riverenza per antiche tradizioni artigianali cinesi.
