Le brocche di caffè, utilizzate principalmente per il caffè turco, si distinguono dalle pentole dei loro brevi germogli fissi al corpo superiore della brocca. Questo disegno ha reso più facile versare il caffè turco; il liquido spesso e zuccherino, pieno di sedimenti, tendeva a intasare più a lungo, germogli a basso set. Paul de Lamerie, produttore di questa brocca di caffè, è stato uno dei più importanti argentieri della Londra settecentesca. Nato in Olanda da genitori Huguenot che si trasferirono a Londra nel 1689.
