Helen Gwynne-Vaughan, (nata Fraser, 1879-1967), era un botanico britannico di primo piano che aveva anche una carriera militare distinta. Nel 1909 succedette a suo marito, David Thomas Gwynne-Vaughan, come capo del Dipartimento di Botany al Birkbeck College. Nel 1921 divenne la prima professoressa femminile del College.
