Philips Muziektempel è un bellissimo pezzo di tecnologia e design estetico. Esso presentava un nuovo sistema di commutazione "multi-induttanza" e poteva ricevere tre intervalli di lunghezza d'onda. Tuning è stato fatto per mezzo di una ‘stella shining,’ un sistema con una lampada che diventa più luminosa per indicare quando il segnale è più forte come l’utente gira la manopola di sintonizzazione. L'altoparlante può gestire i toni più alti e bassi altrettanto bene, per una bella riproduzione del suono. L'armadio in legno con tre manopole Bakelite è stato ben curato. C'erano molte storie di questo tipo di radio che venivano tenute in segreto durante la seconda guerra mondiale, anche se tutte le radio dovevano essere arrese.
