Vladimir Lenin (1870 - 1924) è stato un leader rivoluzionario del Partito Comunista dell'Unione Sovietica e mentore della Rivoluzione Bolscevica del 1917. La teoria politica che Lenine si è sviluppata dal pensiero marxista ha esercitato una profonda influenza in Cina, con conseguente creazione del Partito Comunista Cinese e dello sviluppo dei movimenti rivoluzionari che hanno portato alla proclamazione della Repubblica Popolare Cinese.
