Aristotele Contemplating a Bust of Homer è un dipinto ad olio su tela di Rembrandt van Rijn. Fu dipinta nel 1653, come commissione di don Antonio Ruffo, da Messina in Sicilia, che non chiese un particolare soggetto. Aristotele, mondano, guarda il busto del cieco, umile Homer, su cui poggia una delle sue mani. Questo è stato variamente interpretato come l'uomo del suono, la scienza metodica che differisce all'arte, o come il filosofo ricco e famoso, indossando la cintura gioiello datagli da Alessandro Magno, invidiando la vita del povero cieco bard. È stato anche suggerito che questo sia il commento di Rembrandt sulla potenza della ritrattistica. Venne acquistato nel 1961 per 2,3 milioni di dollari dal Metropolitan Museum of Art di New York, USA.
