La ciliegia di Samson è un olio su tela dipinto dal pittore olandese e ecc suo Rembrandt van Rijn. Fu dipinto nel 1636. La storia di Samson, che aveva una grande attrazione per il pubblico barocco, è prominente nella produzione di Rembrandt durante gli anni trenta. Dipinse Samson Threatening suo padre in Law (1635, Staatliche Museen, Berlino) e il matrimonio di Samson (1638, Gemäldegalerie, Dresda). La sua cieca di Samson più di ogni altra opera mostra l'uso impareggiabile di Rembrandt dell'Alto barocco per richiamare l'interesse dei suoi contemporanei verso il sensazionale. E' il suo lavoro piu' scontroso e violento. Questo dipinto (236 x 302 cm) è attualmente ospitato nella Städelsches Kunstinstitut, Francoforte.
