Il gioielliere René Lalique di Parigi rivoluzionò l'oreficeria intorno al 1900 utilizzando sempre più materiali organici e pietre preziose e oro per le sue creazioni. Oltre ai gioielli ha anche offerto oggetti decorativi come questa ciotola Cockerel Heads. La ciotola rotonda è estesa in tre posti, creando così bordi leggermente appuntiti. Il centro della ciotola è costituito da tre teste di galletto in argento che sono allineati centralmente e sembrano essere raccogliendo cibo. I loro colli arcuati e fortemente allungati con piume a fiamma si fondono nel bordo stretto della ciotola. I grani alimentari sono indicati da cabochons opali, lo spazio tra è riempito di vetro opalino azzurro.
