Una squisitamente incisa carta di mare raffigurante l'India meridionale, stampata a Firenze dall'esilio inglese Sir Robert Dudley. Questo grafico dell'India meridionale è abbastanza impressionante per il tempo, come mentre non si basa su sondaggi sistematici, mostra una comprensione relativamente avanzata dei marinai del XVII secolo della natura delle coste della penisola indiana. Dudley ha fatto affidamento su una varietà di antecedenti olandesi e inglesi, anche se la sua mappatura non corrisponde esattamente a qualsiasi altro grafico conosciuto. Si pensa che Dudley avesse accesso ad alcune delle mappe manoscritte realizzate dal navigatore John Davis (c. 1550-1605), che fece tre viaggi in Asia sud-orientale tra il 1598 e il 1605.
