Louis Comfort Tiffany ha chiamato la sua vetreria “favrile”, che deriva dalla vecchia parola inglese sassone fabrile (mano-rought), per sottolineare che la sua pianta Corona ha prodotto vetro soffiato a mano. I vasi della sua forma di fiore erano oggetti di arte decorativa particolarmente popolari che hanno fatto connessioni fantasiose al mondo naturale, ma non erano mai veramente destinati a funzionare come portafiori. Questo vaso era un regalo di nozze dato alla madre del donatore, Grace Armitage Wilcox Fraser (1882-1950), nel 1903. Il museo possiede anche il vestito da sposa che la giovane donna indossava quel giorno.
