L’indebitamento di Kiitsu ai precedenti maestri Rinpa è facilmente evidente in queste piccole porte scorrevoli (kobusuma), che richiamano le versioni di Waves agli schermi di Matsushima di Tawaraya Sōtatsu e Ogata Kōrin del XVII e XVIII secolo. Le rocce sono rese nelle ampie linee modulate caratteristiche dello stile Rinpa. Le linee d'oro nelle onde esaltano la qualità decorativa della colorazione blu, verde e bianca.
