Questa bizzarra collezione di doodles è stata fatta durante una cena al Pavillon de Bellevue (parte del gruppo Palace Hotels), vicino a Parigi il 3 luglio 1899. I disegni sono fatti sul retro dei menu e le carte di posto. Il pasto elaborato presentava minestra di pisello, trota in burro marrone, pani dolci con piselli, sella arrosto di agnello, insalata di verdure, formaggio, frutta e, naturalmente, vino. Uno degli artisti che pranzavano con Frick era il suo amico Théobald Chartran, che disegnava una caricatura di se stesso mangiando uno di Helen Clay Frick
