una delle numerose versioni di questo tema dipinta da tiziano e dal suo laboratorio nel 1550s , questa mater dolorosa con le mani giunte è particolarmente impressionante per la delicata combinazione di colori del mantello blu , indumento rosa , e velo giallo zafferano . gli inventari ci dicono che anche carlo v prese una madonna su legno , insieme a ecce homo , con lui al monastero di yuste . Alcuni autori ritengono che questa sia l'opera in questione .
