Ogni lavoro mostra un episodio di Ovid's Metamorfosi , diviso in tre scene . in the legend of polydorus , l'assassinio di polydorus si svolge sul bordo destro della foto . Sull'ordine di suo padre , re priamo , polydorus portò troys in oro al suo brother-in-law per custodia , ma quest'ultimo lo ha ucciso per avidità . Al centro , la troia che brucia è visibile . le figure femminili a sinistra sono ritenute ecuba ( sua madre ) , e un servo . l'attribuzione di queste due opere a tiziano è contestata .
