clarissa strozzi era la figlia di roberto strozzi e maddalena dei medici , che visse in esilio a venezia da 1540 per 1542 . insieme al ritratto di ranuccio farnese , questo dipinto è il secondo incantevole child's ritratto tiziano dipinto in 1542 . Clarissa sta dando da mangiare al suo cagnolino , ma , come ranuccio , sta guardando qualcosa che sta accadendo fuori dall'immagine . Questo crea di nuovo un vivido senso di movimento . I putti sul rilievo sottolineano Clarissa's vitalità infantile .
