Questo sitter di mezza età, as-yet-unidentified indossa il costume relativamente non adorato di un burgher. Un doppio bottoni sul davanti a un colletto alto e arrugginito. Poiché gli interni sono stati scarsamente riscaldati in questo momento, è diventato la moda per mantenere i cappelli all'interno e fuori, così un cofano basso e morbido copre la sua testa. Dopo aver leggermente delineato la forma in gesso nero, Tobias Stimmer ha disegnato in faccia e barba in penna e inchiostro marrone e infine ha lavorato sull'intera figura in in inchiostro nero. Il suo audace e fratturato schiude una potente qualità scultorea alle mani.
