Artista: Zheng Wuchang

Zheng Wuchang, nato nella contea di Sheng nella provincia di Zhejiang, il cui nome era in realtà Chang, è stato conosciuto anche con i suoi nomi letterari Ruokan e Sibinsanren. Ha nominato il suo studio Lutaixianguan, che significa la matrice del cervo e la camera dell'immortale. Era il capo della Divisione d'Arte presso la Zhonghua Book Company, e un professore presso la National Academy of Art , Shanghai Fine Art School, così come Shanghai Xinhua Private Art School. Si è specializzato nella pittura di montagne e acqua così come fiori, ed è stato anche realizzato in poesia e calligrafia. Zheng ha ricercato sulle teorie della pittura e ha sottolineato che si dovrebbe "disegnare sui dipinti tradizionali e stabilire il proprio stile" nell'apprendimento della pittura cinese. Scrisse un certo numero di libri tra cui The Chinese Fine Art History , The History of Chinese Mural Painting , and The Complete History of Traditional Chinese Painting.
