煎茶の調製や飲酒は、中国リテラティー画家の頻繁な主題でした。 ここ 茂久兵衛は、陶芸ストーブの上に煎茶を準備する山の中に男と彼のservantを描いた. 大きなボウルの反対側に描かれているように、組成物の分裂は、2つの異なる領域にありましたが、主に陶器として働いている間、アーティストが塗料に学んだことを思い出させます。 もくべいは、ナンガ(リテラティースクール)のスタイルで画家として自分自身を確立しました。 京都の祇園地区で育ち、家族がレストランとブロッテルを経営しました。 奥田アイゼン(1753–1811)の指導のもとに陶器をつくり始め、中国陶器のコピーにすぐに祝われました。 平泉と南東八地とともに、京都の陶芸の伝統を復活させた。
