サンクト・マイケルに生まれ、ザルツブルク、ペチェは20世紀初頭に活動するオーストリアのデザイナーでした。 1912年頃からテキスタイルやセラミックスで仕事をし始めて、ウィーンの美術大学やアカデミーを卒業。 1915年にウィナー・ウェルクステアッテ(ヴィエンナ・ワークショップ)に入社し、さまざまな分野にデザインを手がける。家具、シルバー、陶器、壁紙や織物などのフラットな装飾、グラフィックや衣料など。 その後、ウェルクステアッテで最も重要なデザイナーの一人であり、初期に制作されたシンプルなフォルムや幾何学的なデザインとは対照的に、明るく素晴らしい装飾を得意としています。 1923年(昭和23年)に逝去。 ペチェが正式にWerkstätteに入社する前に、蓋された陶器容器が製造されました。 表面はバタフライ、星などの黒と白のデザインで装飾され、彼は絶滅した幻想的な場面で表現されています。 Werkstätteで作られたアイボリーペンダントは、彼が頻繁に彼の作品で採用したハート型の葉のモチーフを使用しています。
