長野県飯田市出身。 岡倉天心・横山大館などの個人とともに、日本美術院(日本美術研究所)の設立に携わる。 「Môrô-tai」(漠然としたスタイル)と呼ばれる線無しで絵画のスタイルを試み、大正とともに明治末に日本画を刷新する動きを促しました。 この組成物は、モールタイの初期に位置づけられた主要な作品です。 卒業技術で空気と光の表情を映し出し、秋の真下旬の谷の静寂な魅力を巧みに表現します。
