村崎市吉祥の文学的傑作の五十四章を象徴するこの針巻は、墨画の主人公のユスエツに所属しています。 漆塗りのシーンは、熟練の筆跡、金と銀の時折触れ、独特の風景要素で、ユセツと関連した他の作品に似ているものもあります。 1つのシーンは、フォーティファイブの章では、異なる熟練したアーティストによって実行され、おそらく実習生でした。 サムライの家族から降下したが、幼い頃に父親を失ったユセツは、既製の写真を売る店を運営していると知られています。 第3回 徳川将軍 岩満 (1605～1651) に導入し、狩野校のアーティスト達に師事し、これによって、丁寧な指導を受けました。 [東京都住友財団からメリー・ジャクソン・バーク財団まで、寛大な助成金により、ゲンジ・ハンドロールの物語の保全が実現しました。]
