右手に飛べる大赤の天狗は、この絵画に描かれています。 彼のダイナミックな姿勢とスパイダーのウェブの組み合わせは、アメリカのコミックブックヒーローの私たちを思い出させます。 秋の葉が飛散した後に追いかけるように見える。 背景に描かれたスピアーズのウェブでは、その外部に黒いインクを加えることで、モチーフを白にする「ソトグマ」という技法が使われています。 天狗の顔や服をシェードし、彼の髪は細部に注意深く表されます。 この絵画のテーマは不明です。 しかし、例えば、ノウソングの「ダイ」は、スイダーズのウェブ上で捕まえたときにテングを助けた僧侶の物語(当時カイトの形を取った)が、その後に彼の優しさのために再払い戻された。 この能曲が北斎にこの絵のアイデアを伝えました。 現在、吊り下げスクロールに取り付けられていますが、もともとは6枚組のスクリーンに12枚入りました。 この絵画以外にも、「ホワイトモンク」「恵比寿」「ダイコクテン」などが存在しています。 1839年(明治)に制作された作品の1つに「マンジの突如、絵画に関する古いマンマッド」と名付けられた。
