東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科 卒業後、藤堂に入学。 雑誌「ホスン」と「白亭石井」をはじめとした。 1914年、ヨーロッパに行き、C_zanneのスタイルで共感。 翌年日本に帰国。 1922年(昭和40年)、俊洋会の設立に参画。 ヨーロッパの帰国後、ヨガアーティストとしてスタートしたが、武蔵野や湖畔地区の自然を墨の詩的な筆跡に描き出し、「平野の詩」と称される。 第一次世界大戦の勃発後、ツネモは1年半に日本に帰国し、ヨーロッパで勉強していたC_zanneのスタイルで日本の風景に取り組んできました。 東北地方の北方から、ひがら湖やウラカンダリから会津へ。 葉を敷き詰めた厚板の間から、下には村が見え、後ろに丘が伸びる。 3つの次元で捉えられた簡略化された形態は、縦方向と横方向を巧みに組み合わせて、リズム的に指示されたブラシワークで描かれています。 しかしながら、定形構造とスタイルはC_zanne-likeである間、ツネモの本質的な処分であった、潜水的、無秩序な詩的な感情が、マーク付きで見落すべきではありません。 そのため、日本の湿った気候や日本人の処分に油絵が合わないと感じ始めた。 帰国後2～3年ぶりに墨画の世界へ移籍。
