ニコラス・バデスソンのスタイルは、14世紀のフランスのバロックフラワー画家の代表的です。 1611年にトロイエスで生まれ、1630年代から1666年までローマで働いたバウデスソンは、鮮やかな色、バランスの取れた組成物、そしてゆるやかな実行のために名付けられました。 バデソンはイタリアの花画家のヌジーに影響を受け、アーティストのチロクロを使用しました。 王宮の画家ジャン・バプティスト・モンノイエ(花と静止画の署名は、おそらくその金銭的価値を高めるために後日追加されました)と対照的に、バデソンは、単純な未愛の表に彼の花をアレンジし、モンノイエルの作品で見られる追加の支柱なしでした。 1740年代のマレットに刻まれたバデソンの花の絵画の人気は、アーティストの死後半世紀のものです。
