江戸・筑波山の西に富士山をとり、北東につくる日本有数の名峰の2つが、後藤と上林画家の鈴木紀津によるこのファンの頂点に描かれています。 初期の現代では、富士山は伝統的に雪の白を描き、山頂は3つの山頂に分けられました。 つくば山は2つのピークで青色に塗りました。 紀津は、各山のシルエットが光の形で定義できるようにすることで、ファンペーパーの透明度を最大限に活かします。富士の雪線は、つくばのプロファイルであり、逆に描かれています。 同様に、富士はつくばの背後にあるように見え、ふわふわの見晴らしさが江戸そのものであることを示唆し、2つの神聖な山間を守ります。
