この作品は、「ルージュを塗ってみると、より赤く見える水辺の山々の紅葉を描きます。」 婦国堂(1745～1820)は、岡山のサムライとして奉納されたが、琴や50歳の時に、会津(ふくしま)から長崎へ移住し、美術に身を任せた。 お酒をふんだんに使ったまま、お酒をふんだんに使った絵画の多くが、この作品に署名しました。 この水平吊り下げスクロールの絵面の中に、山々を斜めに傾斜させ、葉と苔が山の木の上で点在し、赤と黄色で塗装されたフォアグラウンドの木の端に点在しています。 明るい色で、この美しい作品は、主に墨絵の絵の芸者の間で珍しいです。
