1883年7月、日本で初めての私鉄会社、日本鉄道、上野(東京)から熊谷(埼玉県)まで電車を運行。 翌年、高崎(群馬県南西部)にラインを拡張。 桜や荒川などの鉄道窓から、東京やさいたまを高崎に旅するなど、色とりどりの木版画が描かれたこの錦江。 富士山・秩父山・御法木山・原沼山・赤木山など、可視の山々。 右側にプリントされた列車の時刻表と運賃があります。 作品は、国政五丁目として記録され、宇田川国政Vとして広く知られる。
