Xiang Shengmo は Xiushui (現在の Jaxing)、Zhajiang 省で生まれ、別名 Kongzhang と文学名 Yian、Xushanqiao、Songtaosanxian によって知られています。 後期Mingの王朝の有名なコレクターであるXiang Yuanbianの孫でした。 Xiang Shengmoは風景の絵画で excelled。 彼が最初にWEN Zhengmingの絵画を模倣し、ソングとYuan時代のスタイルに移動しました。 明るい色と爽やかなスタイルを活かせるフラワーペインティングも得意。 絵画松の木で均等に良く、塗装した松の木は「Xiang's pine tree」(xiangsong)と呼ばれていました。
