Imaginary interior of a Gothic church, seen from a slightly elevated position with a look in the middle ship towards the choir. On the left side of the beech hangs a large church organ. Several columns in the midship are decorated by epitafen. Right back, for a choir separation awarded with the Tables of the Law, a pulpit is depicted. Several figurative groups are displayed across the church. The interior is exposed from the left through the large windows. The painting is signed at the bottom left on the base of a pillar and dated: "D. v. Delen. f. 1641." Van Delen worked in Arnemuiden near Middelburg. The figures were added by the Delft painter Anthonie Palamedesz.
