Long dress made of a combination of double-faced cotton serge batavia, the bodice in lemon yellow and the skirt in natural with blue and yellow checks . The bodice is high-necked , with a half sleeve with a checked, turned back cuff and four large slashes from below the bust line to the waist, which leave the skirt suspended from the bust with strips resembling braces , two at the front and two at the back , with four large semi-spherical white plastic buttons and four fabric buttonholes.The flared skirt has two seams at the front with concealed pockets and another in the centre back , and a horizontal seam at the lower hem, which is a strip of lemon yellow . The seams are backstitched and topstitched . It fastens in the centre back with two zips
