Stained-glass window V12 of Milan Duomo depicts the Glory of Saint John the Good and, like the other windows made for the southern side of the Cathedral (V11 and V 13), is the work of Giovanni Battista Bertini, who was commissioned between 1838 and 1842 by the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano. The three stained-glass windows stand above the altar dedicated to the Saint - Archbishop of Milan from 641 to 651 - who is remembered for having brought back the Episcopal see to Milan after the Genovese exile during the Lombard era. Below the southern windows rest his relics, which were moved to the Cathedral by Saint Charles Borromeo in 1582.
