Rita Angus had incredible confidence and skill as a watercolourist. Here fluid washes of colour capture rolling tussock hills and hazy purple mountain ranges. Impossibly fine lines of paint pick out trees and a fence line in the distance. Flecks of paper are left unpainted to form bright white highlights, dotted through vivid green pasture.
