High waisted dress, gently flared with a train in worked silk satin fabric with printed and appliqué embroidery decoration. The neckline is square at both the front and back: a gently bloused panel covers the bust and is edged with a gathered band at the neckline. The three-quarter length sleeves are decorated with a strip of lace with floral motifs, embroidered tulle insert and green velvet binding. These decorative elements are repeated on the lower half of the puffed sleeve, on the band marking the waist and on the decorative bow at the back, and also on the train of the skirt..This gown is typical of early 20th century fashion, clearly influenced by “Art Nouveau” in its decoration . Maison Laferrière was in Rue Taibout, 28, Paris, and Place du Jardin, 5, Nice. Some of the models from this fashion house appeared in Blanco y Negro magazine.
